Guidelines
What We Want:
We
are looking for fiction, essays, poetry and visual art by men and women with
direct experience of war. Our veterans’ experiences, combat or not, are
valuable in telling the sorrow and horror of war. Family members of veterans and non-veterans (with intimate
experiences of war) are welcome to submit.
Fiction and essays should be less than 2000 words. Poetry less than 100 lines.
How
To Submit
Our preferred
way to send your submission is pasted in the body of an e-mail or you can
attach as a file. Include your name
and a bio.
Or, if you don’t
have access to the internet or don’t like it, mail it to: (Include your name,
address and a bio.)

Both new and
previously published works are welcome.
Submissions of
artwork are also welcome. Send
attached in .jpg or .gif format.
We should
respond within one month. If you haven't received a response after that time,
feel free to contact us.

criticism, inquiries are welcome and encouraged.
Rights
We request
one-time electronic rights, with optional archiving. Down the road, PTP will publish a
print volume on an annual basis, and any rights requested for that will be
negotiated at that point in time.
